The experience
A complete day of Zapotec culture, spirituality and craft. We pick you up from your hotel in Oaxaca City and travel to Teotitlán del Valle, where the community opens its temple, market, candle workshop, family kitchen and textile studio. You will learn about the archaeological site, share an offering at a family altar, cook and eat together, and watch wool being dyed and woven — all guided by local people from the valley.
